The original retaining wall was made from wooden railroad timbers, which were once a popular landscaping choice. However, because of their lack of durability, many of these timber retaining walls are now being replaced.

For this local project, JCL was asked to replace an existing wall that had been previously built using wooden railroad ties. Over time, the material had broken down and become an eyesore.
